Privacy and correspondence

If you use the contact form, I keep your email, message, optional details, and consent so I can reply. Email notifications use Resend; a saved message remains available if its notification fails. I don’t add you to a mailing list. You can email ty@tyweb.us to ask me to remove your correspondence.

Small, anonymous measures

I measure known page views, 60 seconds of visible active reading, contact and RSS link clicks, and form starts, attempts, and errors. These are indicators, not proof that someone finished reading or sent an email. Saved contacts are counted from protected records, separately from browser events.

Each site uses a random session identifier in this tab, expiring after 30 minutes without activity or when the tab closes. The two sites do not share identifiers. Analytics exclude names, emails, messages, IP addresses, raw browser identifiers, full referring URLs, and arbitrary query strings. Discovery uses broad categories, including the shared 1 Million Cups link label.

Raw analytics are retained for 30 days, then only anonymous daily counts remain for 13 months. Infrastructure access logs are separate operational records; they are not treated as readers or used to identify visitors. Known monitoring and tests are excluded, though some automated visits may remain.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track disable browser measurement. You can also choose below. Reading and contact work either way.

Anonymous browser measurement is allowed.

External links open services with their own privacy policies. Older TyWEB subscriber records are preserved privately; they are not being repurposed for a new mailing list.
